but dude is a hell of a producer.

that being said, the album is okay at best ..
but some of the production is standout.
he's not afraid to try things, not matter how corny they may end up being.

i just wish he would remember that he did cowrite ordinary people and that its ok to make music that's not targeted towards the 21 and under crowd.

then again, he's prolly enjoying the extra zeros in his bank account a bit too much to stray away from that.

so my uncle, aunt and their two kids just moved back up to nyc after a 5 year stint down in florida. they came up with a ton of furniture, their 5 year old poodle, Lucky, and their 3 month old shitzu-chihuahua, Angel. unfortunately, my lil cousin gabby's asthma acts up whenever she's around Angel so they had to get rid of her. enter Bella & me. we decided to give Angel a home. so last night we brought her home and she's been running around here discovering her new home.

we weren't real big fans of the name Angel but we'd kinda feel like slave masters (your name is TOBY!) if we changed it now that she's gotten used to it so we're just gonna leave the name. i wanted to name her grace jones so now that's her full name, angel grace jones. fuck that dogs can have full names too!

but yeah, i promise not to become one of those dog people. no outfits, no lil doggie rain boots and no lv doggie bag. i swear to god, if you see me with any of the above, kill me. if she's ever dressed like this ..

but yeah, we got us a puppy ..
now we gotta train her ..

i recently bought 2 books..

a clockwork orange by anthony burgess

&



the dangerous book for boys by conn & hal iggulden

i don't think i have to sell anyone on a clockwork orange. it's a classic book & a classic film which i'm sure a ton of you have heard about. the thing that i'm loving about this book is the language. burgess literally put together an entire "language" - called nadsat - that's spoken by alex and his lackies. nadsat is a mix of slavic, cockney, russian, gypsy and words that burgess invented. reading this book has not been easy but it definitely has not been difficult, it's kinda like traveling to a place where people speak english but with their own flair - it takes a sec to pick up on some of what's being said but when you get it, you fall in love with the word play. my emcee homies need to give this shit a shot.

the dangerous book for boys is already one of my favorite books ever. its basically a mini encyclopedia for the mischievous and curious boy in all of us. it speaks on everything from making a paper airplane to the golden age of piracy to making a battery and answers age old questions that kids ask, like "why is the sky blue?" it even has a section on understanding girls which is hilarious. every litle boy - and a few of the "grown" men that i know - needs this book and everything on the essential gear list (swiss army knife, compass, handkerchief, box of matches, small flashlight, band-aids, etc.) that comes in the book. there's only a lil bit of summer left but best believe i'm gonna be using the instructions on how to make a bow and arrow that are in this book before the cold weather hits us. wish Bella luck cause i can feel a few child-like accidents coming on SOON.

go read a damn book please.
